Happy Birthday Tim and Jacob

Yesterday was Tim’s 30th and Jacob’s 4th birthday!  We had a good time celebrating today!

First we went swimming at the Aquatic Center

Grandma was even a sport and took Jacob down the slide!

We came home and had some yummy lunch since we were famished!

Jacob scored some great presents!  Mom is very excited about the “energy burner” aka trampoline!  Dad is excited about the bulldozer legos!  He also got  a great belt which he loves!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

PS for those of you following my sugar restrictions until I have my baby, this is carrot cake made with honey.  It’s a great recipe if anyone wants it 🙂

Random Family Tidbits

Like I mentioned before, it’s been a pretty hectic Spring.  Things are hopefully settling down though. 

Right now we are working on planting our garden.  I love this time of year!  I hope we can get lots of good yields this year to can.  The boys are especially interested in helping out with the garden.  Tim and I are learning lots…

Tim’s been looking for a great new job.  With the economy so crazy right now the construction industry has really taken a hit.  He has some great leads so keep your fingers crossed for us!

On Easter my Mom and Dad has a scary horse cart accident.  The horse spooked and dumped them all in a ditch of water, with the horse and cart pinning my mom down.  Luckily they were all ok.  My Dad showed who his true love was when he held my Mom’s head above water instead of the horse.  A few days later the mare had a healthy baby colt.  So all’s well that end’s well I guess.  I’m so happy that they are all ok.

In late March our family lost a close family member unexpectedly.  We sure miss Darin and the happiness and fun he always brought with him.  He is a great example of true Christlike love and service.  We love you Holly and the kids! 

For Mothers Day, Tim painted my upstairs bathroom and our bedroom.  It looks awesome!  I really love it!  Everyone come visit so you can see!  We also had my grandparents from Santa Fe and my Aunt come visit that weekend too.  We all had fun and they were able to meet Owen for the first time.

I think that’s about it on updates!  I’ll sure try to keep up better!

Our Boys

The boys are growing and changing every day.  Here is some stuff we’ve been up to lately.

Payton:  He’s really into numbers right now.  At church he used the clock as a guide and wrote all his numbers from one to twelve.  He’s also a great helper to me, vacuuming and doing all kinds of chores in the house.  I love to hear his sweet sincere prayers.  My little guy is growing up!

Jacob:  Follows right along with Payton, although is actually quite a leader.  He can draw very intricate pictures and is very sensitive.  He loves to get the chicken eggs too and will go out 5 or 6 times a day sometimes.

Owen:  He is starting to talk like crazy!  The other day he surprised with “cookie” when Payton brought him one.  He is my “magic baby”, going to his crib when he is tired.  He LOVES to play outside!  He is also very strong willed and lets you know he wants.  Usually it’s his blankie.

We homeschool our boys, and it has been a great experience for us all.  We use life as our curriculum.  Right now we are reading the “Little House on the Prairie” books, planting a garden,  and getting ready for a new baby.  I’m so amazed on how much they pick up on.

Pregnancy Stuff

This is me at 26 weeks!  Wow, time sure seems to be flying fast now.  In just 3 short months we will meet our little son or daughter.  I’m still feeling pretty good.  Morning sickness is thankfully a thing of the past.  Lately I’ve been having some heartburn, but I can attribute that to the huge brownies from Great Harvest the other day.  We are having this baby at home too and I have the best midwife and chiropractor who work wonderfully together.  This week I will start up Hypnobabies to help me mentally prepare for labor and birth. 

I’ve also set a goal to not eat sugar until the baby is born.  I need all of your support and make sure you hold me too it! 😉

Hi Everyone!

We are here and still alive!  (Thanks Trish for reminding me about my blog, lol)  I’m sorry I haven’t updated my blog in FOREVER… I promise I will put some new batteries in the camera and update soon.

The last few months have been crazy busy!  But we are all hanging in here.

Welcome Danny Boy!

Our new little colt, Danny Boy.  Payton was the first to see him and so excited!  Payton also guessed his gender too.   So far he has always guessed right.

I thought this picture was hilarious!  The chickens like to hang out under Tim’s old 57 chevy.  Then they come out to eat, so they were trying to bust a trail.  I had to shovel out all the animals a few times that week. 

Needless to say… I’m sooooo glad it’s melted!

Good job Payton

For the last 2 months Payton has been doing extra chores to earn a new set of legos.  Every day he collects the chicken eggs, feeds the dogs and makes his bed.  What a helper to mom!  On Sunday he had earned enough money to get his new lego set, a crane!  Jacob and him have been playing non-stop!

All about Payton

If I ever have an engineer someday, this boy will be it.  Payton can build any and everything and loves to know how things work.  Him and Jacob build endless creations with their leggos and blocks.  Although he has my temper and can scream with the best of them, he is also the most tender boy ever.  Dogs are his favorite animal and he loves to imitate them.  What a chicken farmer too!  Every day he goes out to collect the eggs and I often see him from the window gently hugging his hens.  Right now he is earning money from chores to buy a new leggo set.  He faithfully feeds the dogs every night and makes his bed every morning.  He has taught Owen lots of new words and to “do a little dance”.  We sure love our Payton!
